SOFTBALL WOMEN OF CBS-RIVAS GOES INTO A NEW ERA OF INDEPENDENCE AND STARTS UP WITH THE "DRIDMA RIVAS SÓFBOL CLUB"

Since February 2006, women, junior and cadet softball teams of the CBS Rivas have decided to start a new era of independence. They have gone back to the old softball club DRIDMA founded in 1988 which merged into the CBS Rivas in 1991. Women softball has been active there for the last 15 years.

This is not the end but the beginning of a new era. The same people that some months ago were working for softball in Rivas-Vaciamadrid are going to continue doing so with a very slight but important difference. They will be working within a one-sport club: DRIDMA RIVAS SOFTBALL CLUB. The only negative point of this independence is that this new club, according to the regulations, is not allowed to participate in the Top Division of the National League, they have to start from below.

Thus, this club will participate in the First Division of the National League which they intend to win to qualify for the Top Division next year.
